Gina Bridges

Certified personal trainer and content author with more than 15 years of hands-on coaching experience in group and 1-on-1 settings, including as owner and operator of fitness facilities in Switzerland and London. Gina has personally trained more than 400 women, with a specialization in women aged 40 and over and the hormonal transitions of midlife. Her clinical education background includes a BSc in Kinesiology from Kansas State University and occupational therapy training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

  • Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training (Ofqual-regulated, United Kingdom)
  • Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing, GYM (Ofqual-regulated, United Kingdom)
  • BSc Kinesiology, Kansas State University
  • Occupational therapy training, University of Kansas Medical Center
  • CrossFit Level 1, Level 2, and Gymnastics certificates

What the course teaches

Practical, evidence-based coaching for generally healthy adults: nutrition programming, resistance training, sleep and stress, behavior change, client assessment, and professional delivery. Scope of practice is integrated throughout: participants learn what a coach does, and equally what a coach refers to physicians, dietitians, and mental health professionals.

Certification

Assessment and certificate

Certification requires completion of all 9 module quizzes and a passing score of 80% on the proctored 90-question final examination. Every certificate of completion carries the participant's name, completion date, and a unique certificate number, and can be verified with the provider on request.
